In 1989, SCOTT introduced one of the most significant product innovations in the history of cycling; the aerodynamic handlebar. The handlebar was strategically utilized by American Greg Lemond in his 1989 Tour de France win.
SCOTT began producing bicycles and became a pioneer in ultra light carbon frames, introducing the CR-1 (895 grams) in 2003 while some pro teams were still using frames that weighed nearly twice as much. The CR-1 is Big Bang’s best selling carbon road bike due to its tremendous value, light weight, and slightly relaxed geometry.
The Foil entered the market in 2012 to rave reviews for it’s modern aerodynamic frame and exceptional light weight. Perhaps VeloNews said it best: “Aero shape without comprimise.” It has quickly become one of our most popular race bikes and also the choice of the Orica-GreenEdge Cycling Team.
